Nominations, including self-nominations, may be made using all information in the Distinguished Alumni Award Form found in the association’s Award Policy. The Board will evaluate nominations on an as-received basis. Those selected, or appropriate next of kin, will be notified of selection and asked to provide a biography and a picture.
The UW NROTC Alumni Distinguished Alumni Award may be presented to a graduate of an UW Naval Service commissioning program or a former participant who entered active-duty military service via an alternate program (e.g., Naval Academy, OCS, PLC, enlistment) or former NROTC Program Staff member, or completed the V-12 or other on-campus WW II Navy Program.
For selection, the individual must have exceptionally meritorious service to the United States of America in a position of significant responsibility, and the unanimous vote of the UW NROTC Alumni Association Board of Directors.
