Four Midshipmen will receive their commissions on 20 December 2019 at the State Capitol in the Senate Chamber. The ceremony begins at 1000; alumni are welcome to attend.
Midshipman Sean Gohlke
Sean, the son of Brian and Anne Gohlke of Janesville, will graduate from the College of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering. Midshipman Gohlke will attend Nuclear Power School in Charleston, South Carolina for training as a Nuclear Submarine Officer.
Midshipman Robert Muether
Robert, the son of William and Diane Muether of Janesville, Wisconsin, will graduate from the College of Letters and Sciences with a Bachelor of Science in Geology and Geophysics. He served as the Alpha Company Commander. Midshipman Muether will attend Flight School in Pensacola, Florida in preparation for duty as a pilot.
Midshipman Jackson Lanigan
Jackson, the son of Rich and Maria Lanigan, grew up in San Juan Capistrano, California. He will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. He served as the Battalion Executive Officer. Midshipman Lanigan will serve as a Surface Warfare Officer.
Midshipman John Tilstra
John, the son of John and Leesa Tilstra of Brandon, Wisconsin, will graduate from the College of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering. He served as the Battalion Academics Officer. Midshipman Tilstra will attend The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia.
