Covid was receding in the rearview mirror as the Association enjoyed an early Fall weekend with temps in the mid-60s. On Friday evening we hosted the entire Battalion and presented them with a $5,000 gift. At the Annual Business meeting on Saturday morning, we elected a new Treasurer and thanked George Ketterer for ten years of service in the role. In addition, Joe Abel stepped down from the board after more than 20 years of support, including 18 as President! So a period of transition in the Association and on the football field. The game began at 1100 and many Badgers players were still sleeping as they lost to Illinois 34 -10. Reflecting the fact that many fans left before the fourth quarter began, Coach Paul Chryst was fired on Sunday morning and Wisconsin was out to recruit a new coach to lead the team to future victories.
