Bill Jantsch as a Midshipman, mid-1950's. Bill graduated from UW in January 1956 with a BS in Physical Education and Naval Science. He was commissioned as a 2nd LT in the USMC.
Bill Jantsch - location unknown. Bill attended Basic Officers Training in Quantico, VA and was assigned to lead an infantry platoon in Charlie Co, 2nd BN, 6th Marines in the 2nd Division. He made two Med Cruises, one serving with the Sixth fleet and the other in Conjunction with NATO "Deepwater", making an amphibious landing in the Dardanelles. He spent the next eighteen years in the USMCR VTU's before retiring as a Major.
